Steve Maslow - The Dub Stage

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Steve attended Valley State College in Northridge (now CSUN.) From there he worked as a roadie for the group "The Strawberry Alarm Clock" touring until his interest took him into the recording industry as a record mixer. Awarded a Platinum Album for "Boogie Oogie Oogie," and a Gold Record for the recording of "Oh What A Night."

Maslow entered the Film business with work on The Last Waltz, Hair, More American Graffiti, and Star Trek. By 1980 he was awarded the first of three Academy Awards for Best Achievement in Sound for The Empire Strikes Back, and the following year for The Raiders of The Lost Ark. His third Oscar was for Speed which gave him him first British Academy Award.
