Amy Barber is a New Zealand born Foley Mixer/Editor, Sound Supervisor and is dedicated to her craft. In 2002 Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Screen Arts. Her strong work ethic and love of sound have helped Amy create a name for herself in the post production sound industry.
She has worked on multiple major New Zealand productions and has collaborated with world-renowned editors and re-recording mixers. Amy has worked as a SFX Editor, Sound Supervisor and Re-Recording Mixer on high-end television series, international documentaries, feature films and web series. Ultimately, her passion is Foley. Her first major Foley supervising role came in 2009 on the award winning Starz Series Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
Amy works closely with her Foley partner, Jonathan Bruce. Their partnership, along with her openness for new techniques and knowledge of onboard & outboard equipment means they're always developing their Foley skill set. As an experienced Foley Editor and pre-dubber, Amy makes sure the Foley session reaches the dub stage with ease. Her with strong communication skills and a friendly 'Kiwi' attitude make working with this international Foley team both streamlined and professional
